When we think about assessment, we often picture large final exams or projects. While those are examples of assessment of learning, assessment can also be used for learning, giving both students and instructors valuable information along the way. At its core, assessment is about collecting data to guide decisions: students use it to decide whether to move forward confidently or review and revise, while instructors use it to adjust teaching strategies and lessons. This workshop will explore assessment as a data-informed feedback loop that helps students track their progress and helps instructors see what is working (and what's not). You will leave with new perspectives and practical ideas for using assessment to support the ongoing flow of learning.
