Future Prof 2025: Fall Perspectives on Teaching Conference

All sessions have an in-person or online attendance option. Location/Zoom details are in the registration confirmation email. 

At this conference, graduate students and post-doctoral scholars may earn up to a total of two (2) Future Prof credits for the Western Certificate in University Teaching and Learning. Credits will be given based on the following work:   

  1. Attendance at all morning sessions (Opening Plenary and Morning Session) + Short Qualtrics Reflection Assignment = 1 credit   
  2. Attendance at all afternoon sessions (Concurrent Session A or B and Closing Plenary) + Short Qualtrics Reflection Assignment = 1 credit

Everyone who is registered in this Connect Event ("Future Prof 2025: Fall Perspectives on Teaching Conference") will be emailed a Qualtrics survey with the Future Prof Assignments and have two weeks from the day of the conference to complete them (September 11th).

11:00AM - 12:15PM  Knowledge Justice in the Age of AI: Launching a New Open Educational Resource 

10:40AM - 11:00AM  Lunch Break 

1:15PM - 2:30PM  Choose Concurrent Session A (Creating Health-Inclusive Learning Environments) or Session B (Creating Time and Space to Rediscover the Joy of Learning)

2:30PM - 2:45PM  Refreshment Break

2:45PM - 3:45PM  Closing Plenary: Creating Connection and Community: Fostering Belonging for Students and Ourselves
