Workshop Description:
 
During this interactive conversation, participants will gain insight into Culture, Racism, Anti-Black Racism, Systemic Racism, Privilege and the impact microaggressions have on racialized communities. As we collectively explore and discuss these issues, we will examine ways to build a community that fosters understanding, appreciation and compassion.

Bio: Leroy is married to a wonderful woman named Helen and they have two grandchildren. He is employed at LUSO Community Services as the Multicultural Outreach Program Coordinator and his responsibilities include providing customized workshops, presentations, and training sessions on race relations, cultural conflicts, and competency for youth, educators, parents professionals, and community groups.  
                                                                                                                   
In addition to these activities, Leroy is a member of the Thames Valley District School Equity and Inclusivity Advisory Committee, the London District Catholic School Board Belonging Committee, Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board Equity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Committee, London Black History Coordinating Committee, and the London Black History Opening Celebration Sub Committee.
