This workshop is offered as part of the Own Your Future program's Thriving curriculum.
Navigating life's stresses and responsibilities can at times feel all-consuming. This workshop will help you prioritize your goals by exploring the essential role of rhythms of rest and intentional disengagement. It will provide information and reflection tools that may assist you as you move towards your goals.
Participants in this workshop will:
• Discuss myths and expectations about the role of rest in their lives and degrees
• Explore scientific understandings of our stress response from polyvagal theory
• Reflect on their own needs, values, and skills
• Reflect on next steps to take to balance personal goals with their need for rest
