MMI PREPARATION SESSION REGISTRATION INFORMATION
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: PLEASE CAREFULLY REVIEW ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW!
The Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) Preparation Sessions are in-person practice opportunities for individuals who would like to prepare for a Multiple Mini Interview assessment, a structured style of candidate evaluation often utilized by medical, dental, pharmacy and other health-related professional schools as part of their application process. Working in groups of three (interviewer, interviewee & observer), you will practice responding to ethical, behavioural and situational questions in a timed setting. Feedback will be provided and an introductory kick-off presentation as well as facilitated debrief will take place during each session.
2025 MMI Preparation Workshops are being offered on:
January 27, 2025 - 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
January 28, 2025 - 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
January 29, 2025 - 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
January 30, 2025 - 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
3 Steps to Participate in a MMI Preparation Session:
Step 1: Learn about interview strategies.
It's important that you come prepared with an understanding of effective interview techniques. Watch the Virtual Interview Strategies Workshop here.
Step 2: Register for one of the MMI Preparation Sessions.
Click the "Register For This Event" button to the right. You may participate in 1 of the 4 MMI sessions being held this term.
*PLEASE NOTE: Given the interest in such preparation sessions and the resources available to design & deliver each event, participation will be limited to one session per student. Please only register for and plan to attend one of the four session dates noted - registration will be tracked & participation in more than 1 session will not be permitted to allow for the maximum number of students to gain benefit from the sessions being held this year. If an individual registers for more than one session date, the earliest date on which they have registered will be held for them and other dates they have reserved will be cancelled to provide the opportunity for other interested participants to register.
Step 3: Save the date and get ready to take part in the session! If an event is full, you may register on the waitlist in case of cancellations. You will receive an email to your Western account if you are moved from the waitlist.
Notes:
1. Consider this a dress rehearsal for your actual MMI interview. You are encouraged to dress professionally, and come to the session dressed in the same manner that you would when you take part in an MMI session as part of the professional school admission process.
2. We will start promptly, just like in an actual interview. We expect participants to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early and we don't mean to be grouchy, but anyone arriving late will not be allowed to participate. Please be respectful of your peers and facilitators by arriving on time.. This is a highly structured event, and your prompt attendance is essential to help things run smoothly. Sorry, but if you do not check-in on time you will be presumed a "no-show" and your spot may be given away and/or eliminated.
3. Be sure to cancel your registration if you are unable to attend! We often have waitlists and another student will be forever grateful if you free up the reserved spot you can no longer use.
