Information Session: Canada Life Day - A Day for Future Actuaries

When: September 13, 2024, 10:30 am - 4:00 pm
  • Students are encouraged to arrive between 10:00 am and 10:30 am.

Location: Canada Life Office - 255 Dufferin Ave, London, ON N6A 4K1
  • Entry at the Dufferin entrance will not be permitted.

You must register to attend this event. Registration closes on September 11 at 4 pm.

Who should attend this event? All students who are hoping to become actuaries or who are interested in learning about Actuarial Science are welcome to attend, regardless of their academic major! Students who are interested in pursuing internships or full-time opportunities at Canada Life are also strongly encouraged to attend.
 
Is registration required? Yes - you must register to attend this event. Those who attend the event without registering are not guaranteed entry. Registration closes on September 10 at 11 a.m.  
What items should I bring with me? Students must enter with a form of identification like a student ID card which shows the name they used to register for the event. Students are also encouraged to bring writing materials.
 
What should I wear? Students are encouraged to wear professional attire.


Is transportation available? Yes - free transportation is available on a first come, first serve basis for those interested.
  • Pick-up: Buses will leave from Western Science Centre at 10:00 am. 
  • Drop-off: Buses will leave Canada Life at 4:15 pm, returning to the Western Science Centre.
  • If you require transportation, please fill out this transportation form.
     
Is there parking available? Parking is not available at the Canada Life office. Students who attend the event on their own are encouraged to utilize one of the many public car parks nearby.
 
What should I expect?
You'll have a chance to network with our current actuarial students and actuaries while learning about what makes Canada Life a great place to grow your career. You'll also get to learn about interesting, real-world actuarial topics and have a chance to win special prizes by participating in our social activities. Plus, free meals and transportation will be provided! We are thrilled to have the chance to get to know the future of Actuarial Science, and we hope to see you there!
